Before joining Fleet Technologies, he was the Group Head, IT of Fountain Trust Bank (now a member of the Spring Bank Group) where he was responsible for major project implementations including the implementation of a new banking application. He was also a member of the committee that implemented the NECO and WAEC on-line result checker, pioneering the delivery of scratch card based on-line solution in Nigeria .

In 1989, he joined Infor Service Centre Ltd, an oil servicing ICT company where he had the opportunity of a stint with the Nigerian Agip Oil Company as a consultant. He later joined Abacus Merchant Bank Ltd in 1991 where he rose to the level of Head, Information Technology.

Kunle Akinniran has attended many management courses, seminars and workshops, both locally and internationally. He is a member of the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS).

He started his career with Fidelity Union Merchant Bank (now Fidelity Bank Plc) where he served as Information Technology officer responsible for the administration of the banking application (Globus) and efficient running of the bank's telecommunication system.

He has had stints with the then Standard Trust Bank (now UBA) and Societé Generale Bank under different capacities in Information Technology.

Before his appointment to Fleet Technologies, Mike worked with Guardian Express Bank (now a member of the Spring Bank Group) as the Head of Information Technology and Electronic Business group. He was actively involved in the post implementation of the Banking application. His responsibilities encompasses, driving of the ICT system of the bank, database administration and providing adequate support to the bank's electronic banking initiatives.

Mike's other interest include the delivery of innovative solutions to the public sector, higher institutions and private sector. He has vast experience in the deployment and management of modern technology tools that spans through various platforms, software, hardware and telecommunication.
