National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB)

The National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) was established in 1992 to regulate craft and vocational certification examinations in Nigeria. This certification was hitherto conducted by the City & Guilds (UK) and the Royal Society of Arts UK. This was a welcomed development as it enabled candidate to register for these examinations locally without the attendant hassle of international correspondence.
With the acceptability of NABTEB Certificates for admission into Tertiary institutions, the Board started experiencing an increased number of students from all over the country wanting to register for examinations of the board. Registration for examinations and checking of results were required by students and Universities also commenced verification of the NABTEB results submitted by students. All these interactions were done manually

Fleet Technologies in 2004 launched the NABTEB e-World to assist students to check their examination results online through the Internet. The wide acceptance of this service culminated in the development of the online registration process for examination registration processes.
